This is how Walden Woods South mistreats its homeowners!
While visiting the on-site office to mail a package I was told that she saleswoman was suddenly denying residents access to the mailbox so I said, "That's a dumb-ass rule. Who's the jackass who made that decision?" She just turned her back on me and said quite sarcastically, "Have a nice day." I left without any further comment.
Three days later, a Sheriff's cruiser arrived at my house and a Deputy asked to see me. He informed me that the saleswoman filed a police report saying she fears violence from me alleging I told her I was going to beat her up then shoot her dog! I informed the deputy of what actually transpired (above) and was assured that my denial would be made part of the report. I further informed the deputy that I would not allow any abridgement of my First Amendment right to free speech as long as it did not threaten another. He agreed with my position.
An hour later I visited the President of our Home Owners Association and reported the matter. He reminded me of his own problems with the saleswoman and told me that there''s at least one other family who absolutely refuses to have anything to do with her. Whenever they have a problem needing addressing they jump over her head and take it directly to senior management. The relationship between the homeowners and management is heating up and what's to become of it is anyone's guess. The tragedy of it all is that innocent folks visiting and considering buying a home here don't know what's going on until it's too late and they've parted with their hard-earned money. All visitors see is the peaceful top layer, not the simmering anger beneath.
The upshot of it all is further testimony to the bitter and nasty nature of the sales rep that has deposited in our midst. To lie to the police and file a false police report against a resident is, even for Walden Woods South and its sales rep, way over the top.
Be afraid... be very afraid.
